Meditation to Stabilize Your Mind

Meditation To Stabilize Your Mind - Kundalini Yoga

"Kundalini Yoga is the science to unite the finite with infinity, and its the art to experience Inifinity in the finite" - Yogi Bhajan.

I made this Meditation for you to try today. it is to Stabilize Your Mind, changing negative habits and giving you a fundemental firmness. It gives you a new personality. You can try this meditation if you need to stabilize your mind. Everyone wants to have a good life, healthy mind and a happy life. And everything starts with the mind. Is your mind stable, in balance and clear? This Kundalini Kriya will adjust your chakras and make the spinal fluid go up to cure the brain that is your coordinator. It will open up your heart center, the navel center and the third eye, so you can be who you truly are.

Instructions:
Now lets begin with the Meditation to Stabilize Your Mind, Instructions are as follows:

1) PADMASANA
Sit in a cross-legged position. Padmasana also called Lotus pose.

The Asana is said to resemble a lotus flower, to encourage breathing properly through associated meditative practice, and to foster physical stability.

NB: Be careful with your knees when entering into this particular pose. It may for some be very uncomfertable when knees are the issue of challenge. Try to find a position, you can also sit on a chair if this is to painful. For me its wonderful since I have learnt the basic sitting postures at my school. In a later post I will make a more detailed recipe for how to sit properly.

When you struggle to do a meditation, that is the most wonderful day to practise meditation.

2) THE POSITION OF THE HANDS
Interlock the hands behind the neck with the elbows stretched back. Hands should be in a prayer pose but behind your neck instead. try to focus on raising your chest area so your lungs can get as much oxygen as possible in this asana. The pelvis is tilted a little forward to help straighten the spine even more. The neck lock should also be applied which is a lightly drawn back chin. When lifting your hands try to notice where your shoulders are, are they raised as you are stressed? or are they relaxed. In this pose we relax our shoulders to not put additional strain to the neck.

.

3) ATTENTION INWARD
Eyes are closed to put attention inward and on the mantra in which I am going to tell you more about. In Yoga everything is directed inward, Yoga means to unite the body, the mind and the spirit. As we go through our day to day life we need to remember to unite ourself to bring ultimate balance back to your mind.

4) Rhytmically chant the mantra "Har, Har, Har, Har (The song which is used for this particular Meditation is Tantric har by Simran Kaur and Guru Prem Singh)

5) Pull in the navel and stretch the elbows back on each Har.

6) You flow with the movement of bringing your elbows in front then all the way, as a clapping motion.

7) Open your chakras

8) PRANAYAMA
Continue the Kriya for 11 minutes. What is interesting about the Science of Breath is that it is closely linked with heaps of benefits when using pranayama correctly. I will try to explain what happens in the body when practicing breath excercies. For example, within three minutes of meditation our circulation and blood pressure change. At five minutes, our breathing changes.  By eleven minutes, there is a change in our glandular system, our so-called nerves which create stress and increase cortisol in our bodies, and our cortisol level decreases.

When our cortisol level is decreased so is our stress levels. You will definately feel an effect in the end.

9) STRETCH YOUR SPINE
To end, inhale deeply, hold and stretch your spine as long as you can. Open up your Heart Center, lift at the ribs and elongate your spine even more by doing this stretch.

10) Exhale. Repeat the stretch 2 more times.

11) RELAXATION
Now its time to relax in Shavasana (Corpse Pose) Just lie on your back completely relaxed. Try to let go of everything, the sensations in your body, be totally at ease with letting the natural breath come back to you. You can set a timer and relax for 5-15 minutes.

12) HOW TO SHAVASANA
Your palms are facing up to the sun next to your waist. The head is tilted a little forward so you can deepen your relaxation and take in more oxygen in your lungs. Your feet are separated at waist width.

13) COMING OUT OF SHAVASANA
To come out of the relaxation pose you start with coming back to your breath.  As you have been relaxing and releasing tension your breath has also changed its tone and vibration. Its more calm and you have become more calm yourself. There is a total body-awareness at this point and you start with these few steps to come out of the asana.

a) begin with making yourself aware of the breath. Coming back to your body. Breath deeply. Inhale and exhale deeply.
b) now to shift your focus to your hands, start moving them very lightly and also your toes.
c) start making circles of your wrist in a clockwise direction, your feet also. Then the oppsosite direction.
d) Stretch your hands over your head and elongate your spine and the whole body, stretch the toes so they point straight forward. Let out a little aah* to release the stiffness in your body up until now.
e) now its catstretch, you start with laying on your back and twist your body to either side. Lets start with the left side, your right knee touches the floor and your left hand holds the knee in place. Your left leg is straightened underneath the right knee which lays on top. The right hand is straightened out to the right while half of your body is faced to the left. To get deeper into the catstretch you twist your head to the right as well and focus on your right hand. <

Let me show you a photo so you can better understand the basics of this pose.

The moment you decide to be you, that moment nothing in life can make you unhappy.

Om, Shanti Shanti.

Dont Judge Yourself

Don`t judge yourself to quickly.

We spend most of our life judging and critizising ourselves way to much. We need to stop that now and be more diciplined with our minds. Who is the master and who is the slave? Have you ever asked yourself that before? Who is in control of your thoughts? Did you know that you actually are the master of how you perceive your thoughts? My post today is about self love, self acceptance and to stop critizising yourself, as I already know you do.

let me begin by telling you something personal, I have struggled with social anxiety for a couple of years, its been a struggle and it still is. My thoughts has been a rollercoaster where I did`nt believe in the power of change. This year I became a Buddhist taking refuge in the tree jewels. The Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. I will write more about that in a later post. And since last year I have started my Kundalini Yoga Teacher education in Stockholm, which has been a life saver. My ultimate dream come true. And this did`nt just come by itself, it took hard work. Especially I had to take care of my self-worth. I had to stop critizising myself that I was not worth a life of happiness. I had to confront my thoughts that had hurt me for a long period of years. I desperately needed change, now!

Your Thoughts Sculpt Your Brain
We are in total control of our whole mindset. Thoughts have a tremendous effect on our nervous system. In Kundalini Yoga class our teacher showed us an exercise that will help you understand how thought impact your mind, which easily could be done at home. She read out loud a few words, some negative and others positive. Our practise was to meditate and reflect upon the sensations and how we perceived these words. Words are sound that carry frequensies and this alter the state of our mind and our wellbeing. I have made a list with a few positive words, give each word a couple of breaths to reflect in. Sit in a comfertable position, burn a candle by your side, find your paper and your pen if you need to jot down a couple of lines after or if you have a meditation diary that is wonderful to keep track of your thoughts and development. Cover yourself with a blanket if you are cold. It`s important that you feel safe and comfertable. Easy pose (Sukhasana) or lotus pose is the recommended posture for sitting when in meditative practice. If sitting in this particular posture brings pain to your body, find a chair or sit as comfertably you can while practising.

Sukhasana comes from the Sanskrit work Sukham, which can mean, comfort , easy, joyful, pleasure, etc. Sukhasana can be done by all age groups.

Instructions: Focus is on the third eye.

1) Sit in Sukhasana, also called easy pose. Close your eyes.
2) Rest your hands on your knees.
3) Sit in a upright position where your spine is straight. Imagine an invisible thread is lifted up from your head
5) Bring your attention inward, start with a long deep breath in.
6) Hold for a couple of seconds.
7) Exhale fully.
8) Repeat the pranayam (breathing excersises)

Breathe in, hold, then exhale fully.

9) Read the note with the positive and negative frequensies in turn. Let each word marinate in mind, giving it some attention. Follow the steps in the instructions.

After you have done the meditation I want you to think about how you felt:

Emotionally, Physically and Mentally while you thought about these words.
Did these words bring up new words, thoughts, emotions or specific sensations in your body?
How do did you feel about the positive affirmation versus the negative words?

I would love to hear your comments down below, follow me on my blog so you receive updates when I post here.

Om, Shanti Shanti.

.
3) Sit in a comfortable position, on a chair with your hands in your lap, or on the floor in lotus or cross legged position.
.
4) Focus on your breath. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. Notice your breathing
.
5) Count up from 1 to 10, hold the breath for a few seconds and count down 10 to 1, or whatever number suites you.
.
6) Once you've connected in with the peaceful energy, emit love & send love, peace, compassion and positive blessings out to your family, friends, community, city, state, region, country and the world.
.
7) Rest in the loving energy that surrounds you. When you are done, slowly come out of the meditation and close your sacred space. This is done with intention. There is no right or wrong way. Follow your inner guidance and do what comes naturally

Love Story - Henry Mancini

Love Story by Henry Mancini has for a Long time been One of my favorite musical compositions. I was sitting contemplating this instrumental, letting the tunes drown in my ears as I wondered - ' Did he find her? The One girl that he had on his mind? Were they together in eachothers arms? I also felt there was a deep longing as if he still held her in his dreams. Was it just a woman he was infatuated with, maybe she worked in a nearby Café where he usually had his black coffee and read his morning paper. When her long wavy hair would touch his shoulder when asking for his regular order. He would compose notes of the fragrance of her soft hair, her curves and how her naked fingers would lean on the table, gripping it as if she knew the notes were about them. In his eyes she saw a reflection of how the sparkle in his eye would light up whenever she was near. .

think she knew about the notes ☺️

The Optimist Creed

The Optimist Creed

Many feel that they loose their temper when the world within begin to crumble to pieces. They start to act as they feel and build walls around themselves for protection. There is a solution to cope with these feelings when your thoughts are the centralized point of despair. There are many ways to self realization but one way is to challenge the thought-patterns. Observe them in this state. Reflect on their nature. To be a slave of the mind and it`s faculties is pain.

They are linked and brought to life by attachments but to take a step into the path of enveloping your own sheets of perceptions, layer by layer. You will come to a rational overview which will guide you to the Path of Purification of the Self. The optimist in you has never left the sacred temple which you are a center part of. Be strong in the thought, let the light guide you to yourself. Focus and will plays a big role in clothing your mind`s eye to a new wavelength. You are a sleeping king of your own sacredness.

The Center of I Consciousness.

Chakras Explained

The Chakras Explained.

The first chakra is called the Muladhara (मूलाधार) chakra. The chakras are energy channels that you can find in the body. It runs from the root to the top of the head. The root chakra is one of the seven primary chakras according to Hindu tantrism. It is symbolized by a lotus with four petals and the colour red. You can find the Muladhara chakra between the perineum and the coccyx. Muladhara is considered the foundation of the "energy body". Yogic systems stress the importance of stabilizing this chakra. Kundalini awakening begins here.

Here are some Affirmations for the Muladhara Chakra. Click to see in full resolution. ♥

The second Chakra is Svadhisthana also known as the Sacral Chakra. Svadhisthana defines how we connect with others, how we choose relationships and what they mean to us.

Here are some Affirmations for the Svadhisthana Chakra. Click to see in full resolution. ♥

The third chakra is Manipura which is located above the navel or slightly below the solar plexus, Manipura translates from Sanskrit as the "City of Jewels" (Mani - Jewel and Pura - City/Place). Manipura is often associated with the colors yellow. Manipura is associated with fire and the power of transformation. It is said to govern digestion and metabolism.

Here are some Affirmations for the Manipura Chakra. Click to see in full resolution. ♥

Here are some Yoga exercises related to activate the Manipura:

Dhanurasana - Bow Pose
Come onto the stomach. Grab the ankles, and use the thigh muscles to pull the upper body off the ground. Raise the legs off the ground. As the chest lifts, let the head follow. Hold position with Long deep Breathing. 3 minutes.

Precautions / Read more here.

Diaphragm Lock - Uddiyana Bhanda.

Learn how to do the diaphragm lock here

Breath of Fire  - download pdf with full instructions here.

The fourth primary chakra is Anahata or the Heart  chakra. Anahata is associated with balance, calmness, and serenity. The heart chakra is located in the central channel of the spine near the heart. In #KundaliniYoga, anahata is awakened and balanced by asanas, pranayamas and the practise of ajapa japa. (Japa, without the mental effort normally needed to repeat the mantra) and purified by bhakti (devotion).

Meditation for the 4th Chakra: the Anahata Chakra here.

Here are some Affirmations for the Anahata Chakra. Click to see in full resolution. ♥

The fifth Chakra is called the Vishuddi or Vishudda or throat chakra. It is also known as the purification center. "When this chakra is open, negative experiences are transformed into wisdom and learning". The success and failure in one's life are said to depend upon the state of this chakra, whether it is polluted or clean. This chakra can be cleaned or opened by meditation or vocalisation.

In Kundalini Yoga, Vishuddha can be opened and balanced through practices as:

1) Shoulder Stands, read about the precautions before you try this asana. Here

2) Jalandhara Bandha (Throat Lock) In depth instructions on how to do the lock here.

3) Khecari Mudra on wiki here.

The six Chakra is called the Ajna or the third-eye Chakra. It is a part of the brain which can be made more powerful through repetition, like a muscle, and it signifies the conscience. While a person's two eyes see the physical world, the third eye is believed to reveal insights about the future. The third eye chakra connects people to their intuitions, gives them the ability to communicate with the world.

Yoga Exercises to activate the Ajna Chakra:

1) Focus on the Third Eye

2) Practice the Kirtan Kriya. Read more about the Kriya here
3) Archer Pose by YogaJournal here.
4) Whistle Breaths by 3HO foundation here
5) And all exercises with forehead resting on floor, for example childs pose.

The last and seventh chakra is the crown chakra. In Sanskrit it is known as the Sahasrara.

Activating the Sahasrara Chakra through #Yoga Exercises:

1) Sat Kriya as mentioned above. Read more here

Kirtan Kriya 12 minutter

Kirtan Kriya: Satanama Meditasjon

Totalt 12 min Meditasjon.

Kilde: PMID: 22268968 / J Altern Kompletter Med. 2012. / PUBMED, NCBI. US National Library of Medicine. National Institutes of Health.

Vajrasana Yoga Asana

Facebook /MettaYoga

For og komme inn i Vajrasana gjør vi som følger;

Seeds of Awakening

Plant seeds of awakening in your Yogic practice. As your mind develops and separates itself from its modulations of misconceptions, illusions and what is perceived to be not true, you watch yourself through observation and disattachment.

YOGA CHITTA VRITTI NIRODHAHA

Yoga is the act of restraining or freeing the mind from the clutches of its modulations. From the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Throughout the day, your mind feeds on one of these modulations🔽 But, if there are those moments when you are not sleeping, not remembering old things, not imagining, or looking for proof, then that moment yoga has planted a flower in you. This is the path to becoming, the becoming of the authentic you freed from impurities of what the mind creates.

The Concept of Still Waters
Vivekananda uses the metaphor of a lake to illustrate this concept, where Vrttis are the waves and ripples rising in it when external causes impinge on it. The bottom of the lake we cannot see, because its surface is covered with ripples. It is only possible when the ripples have subsided, and the water is calm, for us to catch a glimpse of the bottom. If the water is muddy, the bottom will not be seen,  if the water is agitated all the time, the bottom will not be seen. If the water is clear, and there are no waves, we shall see the bottom. That bottom of the lake is our own true Self,  the lake is the Chitta, and the waves are the Vrttis.

Thus it is the goal of Yoga to "still" or "silence' the modifications in consciousness, the Vrittis.

Every Day You Play....

Every Day You Play....

Every day you play with the light of the universe.
Subtle visitor, you arrive in the flower and the water,
You are more than this white head that I hold tightly
as a bunch of flowers, every day, between my hands.

You are like nobody since I love you.
Let me spread you out among yellow garlands.
Who writes your name in letters of smoke among the stars of the south?
Oh let me remember you as you were before you existed.

Suddenly the wind howls and bangs at my shut window.
The sky is a net crammed with shadowy fish.
Here all the winds let go sooner or later, all of them.
The rain takes off her clothes.

The birds go by, fleeing.
The wind.  The wind.
I alone can contend against the power of men.
The storm whirls dark leaves
and turns loose all the boats that were moored last night to the sky.

You are here.  Oh, you do not run away.
You will answer me to the last cry.
Curl round me as though you were frightened.
Even so, a strange shadow once ran through your eyes.

Now, now too, little one, you bring me honeysuckle,
and even your breasts smell of it.
While the sad wind goes slaughtering butterflies
I love you, and my happiness bites the plum of your mouth.

How you must have suffered getting accustomed to me,
my savage, solitary soul, my name that sends them all running.
So many times we have seen the morning star burn, kissing our eyes,
and over our heads the grey light unwinds in turning fans.

My words rained over you, stroking you.
A long time I have loved the sunned mother-of-pearl of your body.
Until I even believe that you own the universe.
I will bring you happy flowers from the mountains, bluebells, dark hazels, and rustic baskets of kisses.
I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.

Waterfall Relaxation Meditation

A beautiful waterfall of white light is flowing down on you. It flows down on your head, helping your head to relax. You feel your head relaxing. It moves down over your neck and shoulders. Your neck and shoulders are relaxing. Now it flows down over your arms. You feel your arms relaxing. It flows down your back. Your back is letting go and relaxing. It flows over your chest and stomach, helping your chest and stomach relax. You feel your chest and stomach relax. It moves down over your legs and feet. You feel your legs and feet letting go and relaxing. The beautiful waterfall of white light is flowing over your whole body. You are very peaceful and relaxed.

Spicy Lentil Dhal Soup

Ingredienser:

1 ss sesamolje eller olivenolje
2,3 dl finhakket løk
2 hvitkløksklyfter
1 ss finhakket ingefær
9,4 dl vann
2,3 dl røde linser, vasket og avskalet
1 ss kumin
1 ss koriander
1 ss gurkemeie (fåes kjøpt på grønnsaksbutikker)
1/4 ts kardemomme
1/4 ts kanel
1/4 kajennepepper
1 ss salt, eller smak til
2 ss tomatpure

Tilberedning:

(IARC) International Agency on Research on Cancer.

Buddhist Hope Prayer

Buddhist Hope Prayer

May all be filled with joy and peace.
May all beings everywhere,
The strong and the weak,
The great and the small,
The meek and the powerful,
The short and the long,
The subtle and the gross:

May all beings everywhere,
Both seen and unseen,
Dwelling far off or nearby,
Being, or waiting to become:
May all be filled with lasting joy.

Let no one deceive another,
Let no one anywhere despise another,
Let no one out of anger or resentment
Wish suffering to anyone at all.

Just as a mother with her own life
Protects her child, her only child, from hurt,
So within yourself let grow
A boundless love for all creatures.

Let your love flow outward through the whole universe
To its full height, depth, and broad extent,
Then, as you stand or walk,
Sit or lie down,
As long as you are awake,
Strive for this with a onepointed mind:
Your life will bring heaven to earth.

I walk myself into a state of well-being

"Tap for all del ikke lysten til å gå," skrev Søren Kierkegaard.

Jeg går meg til det daglige velbefinnende hver dag, og jeg går fra hver sykdom. Jeg går meg til mine beste tanker, og jeg kjenner ikke en tanke så tung at man ikke kan gå fra den. Når man slik fortsetter å gå, så går det nok."

The Gift

The Story of the Angry Young Man and The Buddha

It is said that one day the Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him, saying all kind of rude words The Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man,

"Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong??"

The young man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, It would belong to me, because I bought the gift". The Buddha smiled and said, That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself.

"godt avler glede".

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I've got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history's shame

I rise

Up from a past that's rooted in pain

I rise

I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear

I rise

Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear

I rise

Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.

I rise

I rise'

I rise.

Change of Worlds

AUTHENTIC TEXT OF CHIEF SEATTLE'S TREATY ORATION 1854

Yonder sky that has wept tears of compassion upon my people for centuries untold, and which to us appears changeless and eternal, may change. Today is fair. Tomorrow it may be overcast with clouds. My words are like the stars that never change. Whatever Seattle says, the great chief at Washington can rely upon with as much certainty as he can upon the return of the sun or the seasons. The white chief says that Big Chief at Washington sends us greetings of friendship and goodwill. This is kind of him for we know he has little need of our friendship in return. His people are many. They are like the grass that covers vast prairies. My people are few. They resemble the scattering trees of a storm-swept plain. The great, and I presume -- good, White Chief sends us word that he wishes to buy our land but is willing to allow us enough to live comfortably. This indeed appears just, even generous, for the Red Man no longer has rights that he need respect, and the offer may be wise, also, as we are no longer in need of an extensive country.

Youth is impulsive. When our young men grow angry at some real or imaginary wrong, and disfigure their faces with black paint, it denotes that their hearts are black, and that they are often cruel and relentless, and our old men and old women are unable to restrain them. Thus it has ever been. Thus it was when the white man began to push our forefathers ever westward. But let us hope that the hostilities between us may never return. We would have everything to lose and nothing to gain. Revenge by young men is considered gain, even at the cost of their own lives, but old men who stay at home in times of war, and mothers who have sons to lose, know better.

Our good father in Washington, or I presume he is now our father as well as yours, since King George has moved his boundaries further north--our great and good father, I say, sends us word that if we do as he desires he will protect us. His brave warriors will be to us a bristling wall of strength, and his wonderful ships of war will fill our harbors, so that our ancient enemies far to the northward -- the Haidas and Tsimshians -- will cease to frighten our women, children, and old men. Then in reality he will be our father and we his children. But can that ever be? Your God is not our God! Your God loves your people and hates mine! He folds his strong protecting arms lovingly about the paleface and leads him by the hand as a father leads an infant son. But, He has forsaken His Red children, if they really are His. Our God, the Great Spirit, seems also to have forsaken us. Your God makes your people wax stronger every day. Soon they will fill all the land. Our people are ebbing away like a rapidly receding tide that will never return.

The white man's God cannot love our people or He would protect them. They seem to be orphans who can look nowhere for help. How then can we be brothers? How can your God become our God and renew our prosperity and awaken in us dreams of returning greatness? If we have a common Heavenly Father He must be partial, for He came to His paleface children. We never saw Him. He gave you laws but had no word for His red children whose teeming multitudes once filled this vast continent as stars fill the firmament. No; we are two distinct races with separate origins and separate destinies. There is little in common between us.

To us the ashes of our ancestors are sacred and their resting place is hallowed ground. You wander far from the graves of your ancestors and seemingly without regret. Your religion was written upon tablets of stone by the iron finger of your God so that you could not forget. The Red Man could never comprehend or remember it. Our religion is the traditions of our ancestors -- the dreams of our old men, given them in solemn hours of the night by the Great Spirit; and the visions of our sachems, and is written in the hearts of our people.

Your dead cease to love you and the land of their nativity as soon as they pass the portals of the tomb and wander away beyond the stars. They are soon forgotten and never return. Our dead never forget this beautiful world that gave them being. They still love its verdant valleys, its murmuring rivers, its magnificent mountains, sequestered vales and verdant lined lakes and bays, and ever yearn in tender fond affection over the lonely hearted living, and often return from the happy hunting ground to visit, guide, console, and comfort them.

However, your proposition seems fair and I think that my people will accept it and will retire to the reservation you offer them. Then we will dwell apart in peace, for the words of the Great White Chief seem to be the words of nature speaking to my people out of dense darkness. It matters little where we pass the remnant of our days. They will not be many. The Indian's night promises to be dark. Not a single star of hope hovers above his horizon. Sad-voiced winds moan in the distance. Grim fate seems to be on the Red Man's trail, and wherever he will hear the approaching footsteps of his fell destroyer and prepare stolidly to meet his doom, as does the wounded doe that hears the approaching footsteps of the hunter.

A few more moons, a few more winters, and not one of the descendants of the mighty hosts that once moved over this broad land or lived in happy homes, protected by the Great Spirit, will remain to mourn over the graves of a people once more powerful and hopeful than yours. But why should I mourn at the untimely fate of my people? Tribe follows tribe, and nation follows nation, like the waves of the sea. It is the order of nature, and regret is useless. Your time of decay may be distant, but it will surely come, for even the White Man whose God walked and talked with him as friend to friend, cannot be exempt from the common destiny. We may be brothers after all. We will see.

We will ponder your proposition and when we decide we will let you know. But should we accept it, I here and now make this condition that we will not be denied the privilege without molestation of visiting at any time the tombs of our ancestors, friends, and children. Every part of this soil is sacred in the estimation of my people. Every hillside, every valley, every plain and grove, has been hallowed by some sad or happy event in days long vanished. Even the rocks, which seem to be dumb and dead as the swelter in the sun along the silent shore, thrill with memories of stirring events connected with the lives of my people, and the very dust upon which you now stand responds more lovingly to their footsteps than yours, because it is rich with the blood of our ancestors, and our bare feet are conscious of the sympathetic touch. Our departed braves, fond mothers, glad, happy hearted maidens, and even the little children who lived here and rejoiced here for a brief season, will love these somber solitudes and at eventide they greet shadowy returning spirits. And when the last Red Man shall have perished, and the memory of my tribe shall have become a myth among the White Men, these shores will swarm with the invisible dead of my tribe, and when your children's children think themselves alone in the field, the store, the shop, upon the highway, or in the silence of the pathless woods, they will not be alone. In all the earth there is no place dedicated to solitude.

Let him be just and deal kindly with my people, for the dead are not powerless. Dead, did I say? There is no death, only a change of worlds.

Som fotografen selv sier det, "Naked and vulnerable communing with trees, ultimately showing our connection to trees and to nature."

Utdrag fra Tree Spirit Project`s hjemmeside

TREES DO SO MUCH FOR US in this era of human-caused global warming.  LET?S GIVE THEM THEIR DUE.

Trees are an integral part of life on Earth, for as long as we humans have walked upon it, providing food, clothing, shelter, medicines, air purification, oxygen production, soil stabilization, soil filtration, the list goes on and on (see more below*).

Today, with anthropogenic climate change threatening humanity?s stability, if not our very survival, trees are more important to us than ever before.

Yet, paradoxically, it?s easy to overlook trees because of their seeming ubiquity.

How extensive can deforestation be if I don?t see it in my own neighborhood, my own back yard?  Big issues like global warming can seem abstract if we don?t have direct evidence of them in our lives.  This disconnect is heightened because so many of us are so busy in our lives, and spend so much time indoors.

The fact is we powerful humans have cut down about 50% of the Earth?s original forest cover in our brief time on the planet.

Persea Americana Experiment

Recipe Of The Day: Great India

Hell oppi 2-3,5 dl vann i kjelen.

Bon Apetite :)

The way out is within

The way out is within.

They meditate persistently,
Constantly they firmly strive,
The steadfast to nibbana reach,
The unexcelled secure from bonds.

When travelling within, you map out worlds within worlds that you haven't experienced yet. The journey trough observing your perceptions, senses and physical body lends you a new kind of understanding that clears up the path you are headed towards. Letting go along the way also assists in a balanced mind. Once I arrive closer to my true self I instantly let go of former bonds I used to have. Free with the new insight.

🙏🏼 Om Shanti Shanti. Namaste!

Shoah, Never Forget

"Let us remember those who suffered and perished then, those who fell with weapons in their hands and those who died with prayers on their lips, all those who have no tombs, our heart remains their cemetary."  ∼ Elie Wiesel.

Echinacea is widely used to fight infections, especially the common cold, the flu and other upper respiratory infections.

Nature of Self

Nature of Self

Instagram @natsumilove

Nature has been my mentor and guru of lifes hospitality and has thaught me that we are all interconnected. The wind lightens my spirit by songs that ressonate within me, which channels words I'm not able to say. My spirit finds personal growth when resting on the gras, I become more attuned and attentive to the present moment that is happening within me as without. Being loved is knowing that I am free from judgment.

I'm enough within my own existence of being.

Through nature I've been opening my eyes to self and all that I had thought lived outside myself, I now know resides within. I was listening to #PicoIyer the other day on #TedTalks he is a travel writer and a journalist who talks about going nowhere and taking the time to travel within. He has been all over the world, but said that nothing compares to the inner journey you take to know yourself. You could be the most attentive listener in the world, but does it really matter if you dont set time to listen to yourself? History is in the making, being present in your own life by listening to your inner voice will bring about a greater connectedness throughout the world when you can be there for other members in society as well as yourself. Our connectedness is strenghtened by the understanding of why we let some inner voices shout louder than the truth. You need to know the patterns to break them. That will occur when we wrongfully base it on false perceptions and make fear our closest friends and ourself our worst enemies.

There are young women and men so afraid to confront themselves that they would lead a life of lies, rather than fall under the disclosure of their own vulnerability. You are not the only one that is afraid of the truth but bare this in mind, when you degrade yourself to a person who wont allow yourself to change, think about the weight of your experience & wisdom that you could share to prevent similar situations. The road to acknowledge oneself is a path of ups and downs, you think of taking a leap but instead you listen to your selfmade fear. Fear is the greatest warrior one has to battle When it comes to self development. But leap into nature of self, I promise you you'll be rewarded.

 Om shanti shanti, Namaste!
